Cisco Network specialist required for contract role, Dublin City location. Hybrid on site
Key skillset to include; Strong working knowledge of Cisco routing and switching in a multi-site enterprise environment
Cisco ISR routers - configuration, troubleshooting and support of inter-site routing
Cisco Catalyst switching - VLANs, trunking, port security, access and distribution layer support
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and voicemail - moves, adds, changes and desk phone support
Cisco Unified Contact Centre Express (UCCX) - agent support and routine administration
Cisco Firepower NGFW - rule changes and first-line troubleshooting under senior engineering guidance
Cisco video conferencing endpoints - setup, support and fault resolution
Sound grasp of LAN/WAN fundamentals, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS and QoS
Structured fault diagnosis across routing, switching, voice and video
Familiarity with Cisco TAC case handling, RMA processes and equipment serial/contract registration
Experience using an ITSM ticketing platform (e.g. Remedy) to log, track and update calls
Ability to work to defined response and restoration targets by incident priority
Accurate documentation, configuration records and asset register maintenance
Clear written and verbal communication with customer ICT staff and end users
Ability to work independently onsite without day-to-day supervision
Customer-facing professionalism appropriate to a government or public sector environment
Experience
Typically 5+ years supporting Cisco routing, switching and voice estates, including advanced troubleshooting and configuration
Demonstrable onsite customer support experience, ideally in public sector or regulated environments
Experience supporting multi-site estates spanning head office, regional offices and data centre locations
Exposure to Cisco UC environments including CUCM, voicemail and contact centre platforms
Experience working to formal SLAs with defined response, restoration and update intervals
Experience escalating to vendor support (Cisco TAC) and managing hardware replacement through RMA
Experience maintaining accurate equipment inventories and support contract records
Comfortable acting as the consistent, named onsite presence for a single customer over a long engagement
Willingness to travel to regional sites as required
Eligible to undergo Garda vetting or security clearance where the customer requires it
Certification
Cisco CCNP Enterprise - essential
Cisco CCNA - expected as the underlying associate-level certification or equivalent knowledge
Cisco Collaboration or Voice specialisation - advantageous
ITIL Foundation - advantageous
Full clean driving licence - advantageous given multi-site coverage
