Director of Addiction Services – Residential & Community Services, County Clare
Cpl Healthcare is delighted to partner with a long-established and professionally accredited social enterprise in the recruitment of a Director of Addiction Services to lead its Residential and Community-Based Addiction Services across County Clare.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across a comprehensive suite of addiction treatment and recovery programmes. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader to drive service excellence, support organisational growth and champion the delivery of safe, effective and evidence-informed care grounded in recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice.
The Director of Addiction Services will oversee both the Residential Services Manager and Community Services Manager, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams. The role will also play a pivotal part in service development, clinical governance, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Level 8 degree qualification (NFQ) or equivalent in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Full professional accreditation in a relevant field.
- Accreditation to provide clinical supervision.
- A postgraduate qualification in Leadership, Management, Addiction Studies, or a related area is desirable.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' senior leadership or service management experience following qualification, ideally within Addiction Treatment Services, mental health services, psychotherapy, psychology, or other relevant healthcare settings.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating group clinical supervision.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, service development, risk management, and service innovation.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building, developing, and supporting high-performing teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical governance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- A full, clean driving licence and the ability to meet insurance requirements.
