We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to work on a locum basis in Scotland. Please see details of the role below:
Role: Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist
Days: Monday–Friday
Hours: Full time
Pay: £32 per hour
Start: ASAP
Length: Until 2nd October 2026, with potential to extend
Additional Info:
We are seeking an experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join an acute hospital service, working primarily within a Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU).
The role will also involve providing SLT cover across general medicine and surgery, supporting the wider acute service as required. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced acute SLT with a strong background in stroke and dysphagia.
Experience working within a High Dependency Unit (HDU) would be highly beneficial.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration
- Right to Work in the UK
- Previous acute hospital Speech and Language Therapy experience
- Strong experience within stroke services, ideally HASU
- Dysphagia assessment and management experience
- Ability to work across general medicine and surgical caseloads
- HDU experience desirable
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a busy acute caseload
