The Role
Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join an SEN school in Buckinghamshire, supporting children aged 5–16 within a specialist educational setting.

This role involves delivering specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention for children with a range of communication, language, and developmental needs. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support pupils' communication, participation, emotional wellbeing, and independence, contributing to positive educational outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a specialist paediatric Speech and Language Therapy caseload for children aged 5–16
- Complete comprehensive communication, language, speech, and swallowing assessments where appropriate
- Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes
- Support pupils with speech, language, social communication, and functional communication skills
- Work collaboratively with teachers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, families, and other professionals
- Contribute to EHCPs, annual reviews, and multidisciplinary reports
- Provide training, advice, and communication strategies to school staff and parents/carers
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome measures
- Support junior colleagues and contribute to service development where appropriate
Requirements
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Experience working within paediatric or specialist educational settings
- Knowledge of developmental language disorders, autism, and complex communication needs
- Ability to manage a complex caseload independently
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills
