Covalen, part of Cpl, partnered with a public sector organisation to support the delivery of a high-volume Covid-19 Certification Service.
The programme required the rapid processing, verification and issuing of digital and non-digital Covid certificates for citizens, while maintaining data security and regulatory requirements.
By combining AI-powered document validation with skilled manual processing and applicant support, Covalen helped deliver a scalable service that processed high volumes of documents and certificates within a highly constrained timeframe.
Background
In line with EU and WHO requirements, the Covid-19 Certification Service was introduced to facilitate international travel, and later domestic use through confirmed vaccination or Covid testing.
The service required high-volume processing and verification of identity and supporting documents, alongside the issuing of digital and non-digital certificates to citizens.
Challenge
The organisation needed to establish a scalable service within a tight timeframe while managing significant processing volumes.
The programme needed to:
- Review and classify up to 700,000 documents
- Build a skilled team to meet high demand
- Scale capacity up or down as needs changed
